Palisade Consulting Ltd. offers clients a unique blend of expertise ranging from emergency and wildfire operations to FireSmart planning, training services, public consultation and forest management. We have a wide variety of experience with the forest industry, oil and gas industry, as well as municipal, provincial, First Nations and federal governments.
Experience
FireSmart
Palisade has completed a wide range of FireSmart projects throughout the central and northern Alberta. As a qualified FireSmart Contractor for the Province of Alberta, Palisade Consulting Ltd has completed more Wildfire Preparedness Guides and Sprinkler Plans than any other Alberta firm. Past projects include:
- 69 Sprinkler Deployment Plans
- 10 Wildfire Hazard and Risk Assessments
- 20 Wildfire Mitigation Strategies
- 131 Wildfire Preparedness Guides
We have also contributed to three Wildfire Prevention Guidebooks and we are qualified FireSmart Assessment Trainers.
Patricia Golec is a Registered Professional Forester who has worked for industry and for all levels of government. She has extensive experience in forest policy, public consultation, agreement negotiation and technical report writing. She has a Master’s Degree in Forestry from the University of Alberta.
Emergency Planning
Murray Heinrich has over 30 years of diverse experience in the delivery of Emergency Services with various provincial, municipal and First Nations jurisdictions in Alberta and Saskatchewan. He has served as a Structure Protection Specialist on several large wildfires.
